Hangout is a three day festival on the white sand beaches of Gulf Shores, AL. It's a place to gather your group of friends, throw on your favorite bathing suit and hit the beach for some sun, fun, and a great time.

General Info

  • All ages welcome. 17 and under must be accompanied by a ticketing holding adult over the age of 21.
  • Children aged 5 and under are admitted FREE if accompanied by a ticket holding parent or guardian. Due to safety concerns, we cannot admit more than 2 children per supervising parent or guardian.
  • Show will take place rain or shine.
  • Lineup and schedule subject to change.
  • Ins/Outs allowed for 3-Day weekend wristbands per each patron (must be untampered, secured wristband.)
  • In accordance with current local guidelines, there will be NO vaccination, testing or masking requirements at Hangout 2022.

  • What is the minimum age?

  • What type of tickets are available?

    General Admission Wristband: Enjoy all three days of the festival, the beach and the entire lineup. General Admission tickets will be sold at each price level until that allotment is gone, at which time the price will move to the next price level.

    GA Plus Wristband: Enjoy access to the new GA PLUS Grove with private air conditioned restrooms, premium food offerings and areas to relax + priority entrance into the festival.

    VIP Wristband: Enjoy VIP Viewing areas, swimming pools, private air­-conditioned restrooms, complimentary snacks and beverages plus all the access of a GA ticket holder.

    Super VIP Wristband: All the access of a VIP pass with added comfort and service, including meals prepared by acclaimed chefs, a spectacular elevated view of the Hangout stage, hot tubs, concierge services and on-site golf cart transportation.

    Children 5 years ­old and younger will be admitted free of charge with a ticket ­holding parent or guardian.

  • Is there a payment plan for tickets?

    Yes, we offer an EZ Pay plan. The payment plan option can be selected during the checkout process.

  • Can I pay off my Payment Plan early?

    Yes, login to your AXS account here

    3. Scroll down to where it says "Make Advance Payment"
    4. You'll be taken to a new page that will ask you to confirm your credit card info (you can change the card as well), then enter the advance payment amount

  • How do I make changes to my order?

    To add more tickets or items to your order, simply buy more tickets at the ticket link here and use the same email when making your purchase.

  • How can I update my email address?

  • I bought a ticket, when will I receive my wristband?

    Wristbands will ship to ticket buyers in April 2022. Orders unable to be delivered will not be shipped twice under any circumstances and be available for pickup at will call. The original purchaser or person who activated the wristband, a photo ID, and the credit card used for purchase or activation are required for Will Call pickup or assistance at the box office. International orders will be shipped for an additional fee.

  • I don't know where I'm staying yet, can I still buy a Shuttle Pass?

    Yes! We highly encourage you to purchase a shuttle pass in advance even if you don’t know where you’re staying yet. With our ride any line, anytime shuttle pass, you won’t have to worry about choosing a specific shuttle line.

  • Can I volunteer in exchange for a ticket to the festival?

    We will not be hosting a volunteer program for the 2022 festival, but thanks for your interest.

  • Do kids get in free?

    Children aged 5 and under are admitted FREE if accompanied by a ticket holding adult. Due to safety concerns, we cannot admit more than 2 children per supervising adult. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21.

  • Where should I stay?

    Hangout happens on a 7 mile long island along the Gulf of Mexico. The two towns on the island (Gulf Shores and Orange Beach) are home to thousands of hotels, condos and beach houses.

    Condos and houses are often more affordable than hotels because they have multiple bedrooms and you can split the price with friends. Plus, condos and houses have fully equipped kitchens so you can stock the fridge and freezer with groceries, snacks or cold refreshments.

    When looking for a condo, consider these questions:

    • How many people will be sleeping in the unit?
    • How many separate bedrooms do you need?
    • How many bathrooms do you need?

  • What should I bring to the festival?

    Here are some things you might want to pack:

    • Liquid sunscreen, in non-­aerosol containers of 3oz or less
    • Bug spray in non-­aerosol containers of 3oz or less
    • CLEAR backpacks, bags, and purses (no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”)
    • One-gallon clear, plastic zip-top bags
    • Fanny Packs
    • Small clutch bags approximately the size of a hand with or without a handle or strap (no larger than 4.5"x6.5")
    • Blankets & beach towels
    • Sunglasses and hats
    • One (1) EMPTY non-glass water container up to 2 liters in size
    • Empty CamelBak style bladder carriers must have no more than ONE pocket in addition to the compartment that holds the water bladder.

    • Glowsticks
    • Focused ­light devices, including laser pointers

  • What are the entry requirements for guests?

    The following conditions are for guests entering the venue:

    • All guests must have an official Hangout wristband worn on their wrist
    • All guests and their belongings are subject to search.
    • Any prohibited item that is surrendered to security at search points will not be returned.
    • Allowed and prohibited lists are subject to change.
    • No unauthorized/unlicensed vendors allowed in or around the venue.
    • Hangout Music Festival and private security personnel at the entrances reserve the right to make the final determination on allowed and non-­allowed items.
  • Are there water stations at the Festival?

    Heatstroke is not cool. Drink lots of water. Free water fountains and filling stations will be located throughout the festival. Each ticket holder is allowed to bring one (1) empty non-­glass water container.

  • Can I bring a backpack?

    Clear backpacks no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” are allowed in the venue. All bags will be thoroughly checked. There will be an express entrance line for fans that come without clear bags. We apologize for any delays or inconvenience but your safety is our primary concern.

  • Can I bring food inside the festival?

    Reasonably priced food (including vegetarian/vegan options) and drinks will be available on­site. More information about the food vendors and options will be released prior to the festival. No outside food or beverages are allowed.

  • Can I take my wristband off?

    Wristbands cannot be removed and must be worn all three days for entry into the festival.

    Please don’t remove, stretch or tamper with your wristband in any way or you will be denied entry.

  • I lost my wristband. Now what?

    Wristbands are non-­transferable, non­-exchangeable and cannot be replaced.

  • There are tickets available on Ebay, Facebook or Craigslist, should I buy them?

    We strongly advise against purchasing tickets from any third party reseller. Each year hundreds of our amazing fans get tricked into buying a wristband or print at home tickets from Craigslist, Facebook, or ticket broker sites like VividSeats or SeatGeek. Unfortunately, many of these are already used and/or are counterfeits.

  • Are there ATMs at the festival?

    No - Hangout is a cashless event and there will be no ATMs on site.

    Tap to pay, credit and debit cards will be accepted everywhere.

    There will be "Cash to Card" booths at the festival where fans can exchange cash for a Visa debit card that can be used anywhere that accepts Visa not just the festival!

  • How can I apply for press credentials?

  • Can we boat to the festival?

    Due to safety concerns we have an enforced 500 ft NO ­BOATING ZONE off the Hangout site. However there are miles of beautiful open waters around the site for your boating pleasure.

  • Lost & Found

    Lost and Found is now digital! You can search through the found property 24/7. If you see your item, submit a claim and the Lost and Found team will get back to you ASAP to verify ownership and provide retrieval instructions.

  • Info, medical and first aid stations?

    We make every effort to create a safe environment at Hangout. To ensure this, we have security and medical staff working throughout the festival. If you're experiencing any problems whatsoever, locate a festival staff member, security guard, or police officer.

    If you need medical assistance, seek out the medical tent, or look for a police officer or festival staff member. Please refer to the festival map for the exact location of the medical tents.

Additionally, CamelBak style bladder carriers must have no more than ONE pocket in addition to the compartment that hold the water bladder. Any CamelBak style water bladders that cannot be removed from the carrier and/or is opaque enough to prevent visual inspection will not be allowed into the festival. Any CamelBak­ style bladder carriers larger than the permitted size will not be allowed into the festival.

**Guidelines for prescription and OTC medications: Prescription medications are allowed only in the original prescription bottle, any persons attempting to bring in prescription medication must have government­ issued photo identification card that matches the name printed on the prescription, and the pills in the bottle must match the description printed on the prescription. You will only be allowed to carry the dosage of prescription medication required for the duration of each individual Event date. Over-­the-­counter medications are allowed in provided that they are new and in the original, factory­-sealed container.

Health & Safety

In accordance with local guidelines, there will be no vaccination, testing or masking requirements at Hangout 2022.

However, the event shall be presented in accordance with applicable public health conditions as of the date of the event and which may change at any time as determined by federal, state or local government agencies or instrumentalities, artists or the promoter; such requirements may include, without limitation, changes to capacity, attendance procedures and entry requirements, such as proof of vaccination and/or negative COVID-19 test, and other protective measures such as requiring attendees to wear face coverings. If any ticket holder does not comply with any laws, mandates, health orders or directives, promoter or event terms, conditions or rules, then the promoter or event operator may refuse admission to the event or require the ticket holder to leave the venue and such ticket holder will not be entitled to a refund.

COVID-19 WARNING
COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. There is an inherent and elevated risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place or place where people are present and there is no guarantee, express or implied, that those attending the festival will not be exposed to COVID-19.

ATTENDEE PROMISE & HEALTH ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
All attendees agree to follow festival policies (including health and safety policies) and posted instructions while at the festival. According to the CDC, older adults and people of all ages with serious underlying medical conditions may be at higher risk of death or severe illness from COVID-19. All attendees should evaluate their risk in determining whether to attend the festival. By entering the festival, attendees voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and confirm that they will adhere to local quarantine mandates and the CDC quarantine requirements, available HERE.

Accessibility

Hangout Music Festival provides ADA accessible parking, entrances, restrooms, viewing and seating. Seating in the ADA Viewing area is limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis for ADA guests and companions.
