The Hangout Music Festival aims to be accessible to all guests. It is our goal to continually improve access to all guests with disabilities. Please review our 2020 policies, as some of the information may have changed.
The venue is fully navigable and accessible with the assistance of our ADA Access team. There are accessible pathways throughout the venue, including main roads and the boardwalk.
All accessibility-related questions, can be answered at our Access Center. In addition, this will be the location to recharge wheelchair batteries or other assistive technology. If you need to store equipment such as oxygen tanks or insulin, Access Center staff will register the equipment and place it in a safe location. Pick up the festival’s Access Guides here and inquire about the best accessible pathways between stages.
A printed guide listing all of our services and an ADA specific map will be distributed at the Access Center.
Accessible Viewing Area:
Viewing areas and seating will be provided at the main stages for ADA patrons. Please see the festival map or contact the nearest festival staff member for exact locations. You must visit the Access Center in advance to get the proper credentials. Be advised, space is limited and is on a first come, first-served basis.
All entrances/exits are accessible. A specific line at will call and the box office will be provided for ADA patrons who cannot wait for long durations in the sun. Our Access team will be continually monitoring this and assist with any issues which may arise.
ATMs & Concessions:
The ATMs are fully accessible and located throughout the venue. If assistance is required please confer with a festival staff member.
All First Aid locations are noted on the festival map. Professional medical staff will assist patrons with any medical issues that arise. Our Access team will be guiding patrons to First Aid if a medical emergency arises.
Assisted Listening Systems will be provided to patrons who are hard of hearing. Please visit the Access Center to obtain a system. You will be required to provide credit card information as collateral.
We will be offering patrons with visual impairments a personalized guided tour of the venue available upon request. Please send your request to firstname.lastname@example.org
. Large print and braille guides will be available upon request. Please request braille no later than one month before the show.
ASL Interpreter and Closed Captioning requests must be sent in no later than one month before the festival. Please email your requests to email@example.com
There will be a small area for handicap parking. Space is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Handicap parking areas will require a current, valid state issued ADA placard or plates with corresponding placard or plate paperwork.
Throughout the venue there will be sanitary, wheelchair accessible restrooms which will be pinpointed on the Access Guides. To use these restrooms, ADA patrons will need to visit the Access Center.
Hangout Music Festival has a strict no-pet rule, with exceptions only for service animals as specified by Federal and Alabama state laws. Due to large-scale service animal fraud and for the safety of our patrons, staff, and other service animals; all animals which do not meet legal standards will not be allowed into the festival grounds. All service animals must be registered at the venue entrance. Please note, comfort animals, emotional support animals and therapy animals are not considered service animals and will not be allowed into the venue grounds.
A ‘service animal’ is defined as “any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. The work or tasks performed by a service animal must be directly related to the handler’s disability. Please note that all service dogs, including those from out of state are subject to local dog ordinances, which includes a valid rabies certificate.”
