How do I find out if/when they are selling single day tickets? I know last year that they didn't sell single day tickets because the 3-day passes sold out. But do I just have to wait and see?
I just wanna see the Red Hot Chili Peppers!

The 2010 Hangout did sell single day tickets. In fact after a nasty thunderstorm on Sunday of that inaugural year, the Hangout opened the doors and it became a "free" festival.
The 2011 Hangout was a hard sellout. There was no single day tickets.
I expect the 2012 Hangout to also be a hard sellout. They have two very strong headliners (DMB and RCHP). DMB has a very loyal following, and they have sold out 35,000 capacity shows.

I'm very interested in a single day pass. By posting this, I'm hoping that I'll be notified when/if they go on sale…?!

They will almost definitely not have single day passes and you would also definitely not be contacted if they do simply by just posting in this thread. I highly doubt that anyone having anything to do with ticketing will even know that this thread exist.

Best bet is to find someone offloading a ticket, or get your tail over to ebay asap. Ticket prices are just getting higher day after day. You MAY be able to find someone offloading near the gate day of show, but would hate to travel all the way down there to roll the dice and see.
I believe single day tix are a no go due to the hard sellout.

They will more than likely not be offering single day tickets. He is on tour this year, you have plenty of other choices to go somewhere to see him perform.
