This will be my first year and I am curious about the late night shows. I remember reading somewhere that they sell separate tickets to these, but that was about all of the information I could find.
So, here are my questions:
Where do these shows take place?
When do they normally begin and end?
Do you have to buy one for each night or are they a package?
How much are the tickets?

2010 only had late shows at the inside hangout bar. 2011 did the same but also put on some electronic shows in the boom boom tent.
They began around eleven and ended around 2.
Each show is separate each night is separate. Last year there were 4 shows total.
Tickets range from 15-25, but the popular acts will sell out very quickly. Last year pretty lights and bass nectar sold out quick.
The late night shows are the best part of the fest bc they limit the amount of people. The boom tent was wall to wall dangerous during the day but at night very open and a lot better temp wise.

I dont remember there being any late night shows at the hangout bar last year. There was one show Friday night (Bassnectar) that was at midnight and ended a little after 2am, and there was one show Saturday night (Pretty Lights) that was at midnight and ended about the same time as Bassnectar. They were both under the tent which is on the boardwalk and were both fucking badass so don't miss out. Both were about $30 bucks each and the tickets went quick. Also, they didn't announce this until about a month before the concert so if they don't announce it with the initial lineup don't think it's not going to happen!

2010 had a Keller Late Night Show and 2011 had Tony Clifton and Rich Aucoin all at the hangout bar.

No you don't need a 3-day pass to buy late night tix, at least you haven't in the past.

There may not be any late night shows this year. Before the city of Gulf Shores granted the permit for this years festival they made the hangout agree to certain conditions. One of them being it had to end at 11 pm. I think they were not happy with the late night shows the last two years.

The festival ends at 11 this year, just like it did last year. The late night shows are not technically part of the festival, that's how they can do this and still stay within the hours deemed acceptable by the city. I'm fairly certain that they'll have late night shows…noone wants to go to a festival that ends at 11 and has no further music being played…

When do they start selling late night show tickets? Will they be sold on the website or do you buy them at the festival? (This is my first year and I don't want to miss out because I didn't know when the tickets were being sold)

For the Lolla aftershows, they announced them and the on-sale times on the website, and you bought them directly from their official website. they sell out pretty quickly usually though.. I'm hoping to get to go to one for this fest, being I'm going for my birthday : )

Is there any update to this info regarding late night shows? I'm a little confused: if you have a 3 day pass, will you still have to buy tickets for the late night shows separately because of the city/festival agreement? I'm guessing yes, but just want to make sure.
How does one keep an eyeon info regarding late night shows/tickets?

I forgot to buy a Pretty Lights ticket last year and found mine on the Mfing ground otw into the grounds that day! I couldn't believe it. Only lucky thing to ever happen to me. I thought he played late as hell though. I had so much damn fun at Big Gigantic/Pretty Lights late night
