Instead of lodging in condos is there anywhere we can camp? Park, the beach where Hangout is, etc.?? Let me know! My friends and I are all about saving money and camping!

There are several state parks around, but they have very limited camping spots.
You can find more info here:

In my opinion, you might be better off finding a lower priced condo, you can get some as low as $99 a night and can sleep 6-8 people…less than $15 each and you get warm showers, a fridge etc…

Me and my buddies were from out of state and camped this past year. It was a last minute decision to go so all the condos were booked. There are PLENTY of camping grounds within a 5 mile radius of the Fest, just don't wait until two days before to book a campground. I estimate we saved 400-500 dollars by camping and it was a fun experience. We'll be staying in a condo this year though! Good luck man

I'm super excited for the show this year and cant wait for the tickets to go on sale. I have heard that there is a camping site a mile or so away but what is the best one called? Did anyone go there last year? Whats the best area to make a reservation? Ill just have my car and a tent with my friends. It would be nice to be in an area where we can meet our friendly neighbours. Anyone have any tips?
Also I have heard its best to plan on riding your bike or walking to the show, since the traffic is bad and the shuttles can sometimes take hours. Will there be places to leave our bikes?

Gulf State Park is a mile or so from the fest. They say the shuttle runs to it. It is $33 a night and as of yesterday there were still spaces available. I don't know what condos were $99 near the festival because everything I priced this year was almost double what it was last year. Even the cheapest hotel was over $110 and all the way in Foley.
I am thinking of riding our bikes. I just am apprehensive about locking it. Last year it was crazy near the fest. Bikes piled on top of bikes, locked to signs. I would hate to be the person that got there first and their bike was on the bottom. Seriously. There would be a street sign, with bikes pilled up and locked to it like to my shoulders, at least 12 bikes piles up. And just as many jammed up on the other side of the sign. Makes me nervous. The only bike I have is an expensive street bike that I would hate to have ruined. So I'm still researching the bike idea. May just hike the mile or so.

Big Lipped,
Last year we had a car. I forget the name of the campsite we stayed at but it was about 2 miles from the Festival. Looking back on it it probably would have been better to ride bikes. The traffic was pretty heavy in places and on the second day of the fest my car got stuck in a sand dune two streets behind the fest LOL but yeah if you guys have a way of transporting the bikes to gulf shores id say go for it, just make sure you get down to the beach early in the morning so you can actually find a pole/sign/homeless guy to lock your bike to.

Can people camp at the regular beach (i.e. not at a campground, just put a tent anywhere at the beach for the night)? If I rent a house, can I put as many tents as I want in the lawn of front porch as long as it is still within the property of the house? Thanks!

I don't believe you can camp on the beach.
But putting up tents on your "private" property may not be a problem. As long as the place your renting isn't in a gated community that may have rules.
You can check with the local chamber or zoning department and ask I'd say.
