Is it possible to set up a tent anywhere?

Not on the festival grounds, the closest camping site is the Gulf Shores State Park Campground.  Theyre nice campgrounds with clean showers and such.  Plus the shuttle runs to them so you dont have to make the 2 mile walk.

Question about the shuttle on this end.  Last year I used the shuttle that serviced the north side.  It didn't drop off anywhere near the festival, it was like a half mile up the road.  But there were definetly shuttles that were dropping off at the gate, just not the north side.  So I decided it wasn't worth it this year.

My question – Does the shuttle that services the park actually drop you at the gate?  Or a half mile away as well?  'Cause if that's the case, it sure isn't worth the price, much less the doubled price.

Thanks for any help.

Which shuttle pass should I purchase if staying at the campground?

Thanks!

There is an RV campground smack dab in the middle of Gulf shores just blocks from the beach.  If you have a trailer or RV it is TOTALLY worth the 45 bucks a night :)

I have a spot in the state park that I reserved for me and all my friends…before it sold out. So now only I have a ticket and a spot, if anyone wants to bring their tent and camp out its cool. I have a small tent for myself, but could bring the 12 person tent for pow wows. :)

We're in the same boat as Greg…the three of us are making a trip up from Wisconsin. We are easy going, and have party supplies as well. If anybody has an extra spot open to plop a tent that would be groovy. We of course would reimburse you for our stay in your area.

I should have space.  I'm bringing our SUV, which my kid (16 so it's cool) will sleep in and I have a smaller hiking tent.  Bringing our EZ up to hang out under.  I don't know how big their camp sights are, but should be able to fit somebody else on here.

doug gilmer,

There is still camping places available at Island Retreat in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

It's 2.5 miles from the festival but it says it should only be a 50 minute walk…. odd…

Hey Mark, a couple of friends and I are wondering if you still have space for a few more people to share your campsite. We have hammocks we could sleep in if there is no more room for tents. A few girls and a few guys, 5 people total. Let me know if you have room for any more music festival junkies! We would love to chip in for the site and we will bring lots of fun party favors! My email is ash.kosobucki@gmail.com Thanks!

@Pajara

Do you still have a spot on the campground? I read their rules and apparently its only supposed to be one tent per site but I could bring a quick pop out tent for when I get back to campsite at end of the night. Just let me know either way, my email is leila_girl1001@yahoo.com.
