Anyone have any must do's while in Gulf shores?

Gulf Shores is a beautiful city with some of the best food in the country. I, being from St. Louis, can not wait to eat some of the local food. Crab Claws, Shrimp Poor Boys, fresh oysters, are some of my favorites.

Also in the city over from Gulf Shores, Foley, AL. There is one of the best outlet malls around. I strongly recommend checking out the Tanger outlet mall. Its just north a few miles on 59 from Hangout.

Does anyone else have any must do's?

So this is gonna sound pretty sketchy, but there is a pretty solid poboy shop that is underneath one of the bridges. The best way I can describe it is that it is the second bridge when coming from Florida on the main beachside drag, and you go under it to the left after you cross. Duck's dinner is a great place to eat breakfast if you wake up early enough for that. Franco's is a good italian place few miles west of hangout. They also do to go orders which is really convenient. Cosmo's and Cobalt are both good dinner places on the more expensive side. That's all I can think of right now.

I never miss a visit to Tacky Jack's when I'm in the area. I think we'll eat lunch there when we arrive on Thursday.

My boyfriend is having a birthday the Monday after Hangout. Is there a REALLY nice place down there to go for dinner? Willy, Cobalt looks somewhat upscale per the website. Is it in real life?

Cobalt is nice.

So is Villagio's, at The Wharf on Canal in Orange Beach.

Villagio's has great food, and its very upscale.

I have been only once and it is kind of off the path but there is a steak place called COACH-N-FOUR STEAK HOUSE. It has fantastic service, reasonably priced and I can not recommend a better steak around that area.     Actually if you do decide to go hit me up (creeper alert) I would like to tag along if that is squareLaughLaugh

Villaggio looks delicious. Too bad they don't have an Oyster entree. That's his favorite.  I think he would be happy with this, thought. Thanks Hayleah!

Tugboatcharlie, I looked the place up and it sounds good, but we're looking to drink and Ft. Walton is a trek. I will definitely go there when I'm in Ft. Walton later in the year.
