So I'm trying to make a schedule to see all these amazing bands and I was looking for some advice from previous hangout attendees. Take into consideration that they have doubled the size of the site keeping the same amount of people. How long does it take to get from stage to stage? For the headliners should you be at the stage an act beforehand or can you resonably come when the set starts and work your way part way through the crowd?

Early in the day, you can pretty much walk up to an act. As the day progresses, the crowds get thicker and drunker. If you're trying to be front and center for a headliner act, go at least 30 minutes before the start time. I personally don't care where I am in the crowd and wouldn't leave a previous act earlier just to get a good spot for the next act.
Now, if we're talking about bathrooms, please, by all means leave an act early. The lines really back up after a big act. I believe I waited 45 minutes in line after The Flaming Lips last year.

The John Q. Crapper situation is being/has been addressed… :)
If you want to be on the rail for, say, DMB… you will need to be there very early. People will camp out. Sparky gives good advice.
You can always upgrade to the Big Kahuna and sit on the actual stage. That resolves all the problems? ;)

Thanks for the advice guys! I don't mind being kinda far away so long as I can still hear and see the band, so I don't think it'll be a problem
