This is my second Hangout and I can't help but notice they seem a little more secretive.  So this year, "they" are definitely sloooowwwwer on releasing the schedule.  I haven't complained yet so don't hate. I'm just wondering what they are trying to hide from us? Hopefully something extra exciting?!? Kiss

it is in fact now the 24th and we still dont know the schedule…kinda seems silly considering it would only boost the hype, and it cant be that hard to araange these bands in an appropriate order.

As a positve person, I am hoping the delay on releasing the schedule is because they are finalizing a few new acts to the line-up.

The rate of the sell out gave the team a LOT more options and ideas on what could be done this year… it also raised the need for more hands on deck.  I assure this is all good.  The eyes are being crossed and the t's… wait.  OG Master.  Anyway, its coming.

I think there are more additions on the way, possibly comedy acts along with a couple musical.  If I'm not mistaken, last year they released the final additions and a few days later the schedule was released.  Either way the waiting/delays has become quite irritating and is not on par with virtually every other festival (including Hangout in previous years).  Compared to last year they are way behind on the release of the lineup/schedule.  When are the tickets/bracelets arriving?  Despite my frustration the festival will be a blast.  If you haven't been before you are in for a real treat!

@Dontburnthepig – I hope your magic 8 ball is right

It would be a good idea to either announce a release date, or just release the schedule ASAP.  People are getting to the stages where they need to plan stuff, and everybody is really restless.

They tickets have been sold out for months, there is no need to get a bump by a lineup announcement.

This whole process has been drawn out way too much.  Leaving everyone in the dark has caused frustration with everyone I've talked to.  The whole "We sold out and don't give a flying shit about our customers" attitude from the entire hangout production crew is very clear.  While I know I'm going to have a good time once I'm there, this is just crazy that they are pulling this.

Last year the schedule was released on April 28th, i checked my Email,  however they had announced most of the whole line-up and it wasn't questionable like it is this year.

Regardless, it would be wise to do a service to their paying customers and say something.  Not vague stuff on a message board (See Above).

@h0lmes

Firstly, welcome to the forums…lol.  Secondly, "We sold out and don't give a flying shit about our customers" I think is a wee bit over the top.  I don't think that's the case at all.

I'm not being an apologist for them or anything, there are definitely some issues that need to be worked out with their flow of information.

Fair enough, I was just hearing different people at my work complaining, and thought I would type what each of them had said this morning.  The "We sold out" quote wasn't mine, but I thought it was funny.

That said, the whole treatment this year has been out of whack with other Festivals, and any business in General.  I was just saying to my friend, "It's Crazy how irritated and annoyed people are getting about the way these guys are handling the lineup and schedule" but the truth is that people are months past anticipation and are now just frustrated and left in the dark about when any announcements will be made…3 weeks before the festival.  As a business, it would be wise to pay attention to this and make action rather than just leaving people in the blue.  The past 2 years the Festival was (seemingly) on top of their shit, and even if they were barely in control they made everyone happy.  This year they are totally out of touch, (I.E. We've heard enough about the F****** Shuttles, and most people are probably more annoyed the Email isn't the lineup/schedule).  All anybody wants is the Schedule and the rest of the lineup, because we were let down by the intial release compared to other festivals.  If there are no more artist additions, then they should say something.  Communication is key to marketing and advertising, especially when you have people complaining every day on your social media pages.

I've never thrown a Music Festival, and probably never will. I'm sure its hard and there are things going on that may be causing this delay.  The thing to do would be to communicate with the 35,000 Customers that are investing a lot in this weekend.  I don't know all 35,000 people but the 40-50 I know are frustrated to the point of moving on the other festivals next year over this year's debacle in marketing and communication.

Done complaining, but its all true.

I remember receiving the schedule last year exactly 3 weeks before the festival. So, if we go on history, we should have our schedule by Friday…

At least I hope so. I'd hate to see the backlash on here and Facebook if we don't!

Thank you Hangout,

I guess there aren't any more artist additions, but I think it works.  I can't imagine trying to arrange a schedule like this, but you did a pretty good job.
