Should I try to ride my bike from my campgrounds (island retreat rv park) or walk to the festival?

I've read some things saying tryin to chain up your bike is not a good situation because there are so many and they get piled on top of each other.

Has anyone stayed at this campground before and walked to the festival?

I too am planning to stay at Island Retreat and biking it. I was thinking of buying a couple beaters off of craigslist and chaining em' up a block to two away somewhere.

That's a good idea Scott.  That would work.  It seemed like most of the bike pileage was right at the gates.  Think we will park them a little way out and walk the last little bit.  Good thinking.

As to walking.  I know last year we rode the shuttle and it dropped us off about a half-mile from the gate and we had to walk.  It wasn't too bad, but don't know that I would have wanted to walk much more than that in the heat.
