I'm sick of seeing all of the bullshit complaints on here. I had a great weekend. Sure, not everything went my way (I have my one or two suggestions to the Hangout Crew) but those are just selfish grumblings of a privileged American and there was so much more good than bad.
Thank You Hangout for putting on this badass festival, increasing shade, increasing size, organizing the schedule the best you could, and really thinking about the best way to accommodate our needs.
It was badass, wish it didnt have to end so soon, and I'll defiantly be back next year

Agreed! I wrote a lengthy post in the Feedback Forum. The good points definitely outweigh the bad. We had a superb time and can't wait to go back next year!
I encourage you to post your suggestions in the feedback forum. Some people will accuse you of being a Negative Nancy, but don't let them phase you. You've got to remember that HOMF is a mere child in comparison to other large festivals – only 3 years old. Feedback and suggestions are appreciated and, often times, implemented in next year's fest.

I came with a dozen friends (we were all GA) and every one of us had an absolutely amazing time. We have already begun making plans to attend next year. Thank you HOMF for an unforgettable weekend filled with great music, nice people, and a great environment.

for real.. i don't get why people are complaining. that was the best festival i've ever been to. real bathrooms, restaurants with AC, and the view of the ocean on the two main stages. my only complaint is that it ended so early, but i knew that going there and made the most of my night on the beach afterwards. all the bands brought their A games last weekend (except for maybe DMB– they've played better in my opinion). and despite there being so many greek kids, they surprised me at all the good vibes they brought (that sure as hell doesn't happen on my campus). but yeah, it was an epic weekend to say the least. it was just my girlfriend and i and we didn't stop dancing and smiling once and met a lot of cool people. hopefully hangout pull another stellar lineup for next year.

I couldn't agree more with Reid. The best fest I have ever been too. We drove from Fargo ND and had the best weekend ever. The location and the amenities in and around the site take the fest to another level in my opinion. Did anyone eat at those food trucks? That shit was dank. I hope they get more food trucks next year. My only question is why do people who smoke cigarettes think its OK to throw them in the sand when they are done? The beach was littered with them at the end. Kind of a shame because it is such a beautiful place.

^^ very true, that and beer cans. i understand that people do not want to leave their spots after waiting for a show, and there really weren't enough trash cans. I know one year at 'roo the fest gave little tins (that resembled altoid containers) that people were to put their cigg butts in, and that helped a lot.
