I am Dave Anver. Kidding. Yes, but I was a head before I was a phan and honestley have seen so much of both recently that… meh… found something different to do this year. Normally we would scamp on the weekend of this hangout but we will giv AL a try. I am honestly pissed this is the whole lineup.

The only way I see any adds is if they were contracts that couldn't be announced until after a certain date that are already signed…. like how Umphree's was always a late add for Rothbury. that was because of Scamp. Their contract with scamp prohibited them from annoncing until a certain date so they were always a late add even though the contracts were signed.
I know Mad house, aeg and AC pretty damn well. I don't know this promoter.
even before it was sold out they didnt have "and many more" or "more to be announced" anywhere so while it would be very ODD maybe they didn't intend on adding unless totally necessary and using last year sales they probably knew it wasn't.
It is very telling that no one from the promotions side has been like: DONK SHUT YOUR WHORE MOUTH THE ADDS ARE COMING. and from the CID side they claim to know of no adds being released…

And since it is all but sold out there is no reason for a respectable promoter to not just answer the damn question.
If the answer is no they will drive secondary market ticket prices down hurting the scalpers all prpmoters claim to hate… if the answer is yes then they will sell out the remaining VIP/SVIP.
Makes no sense. Time for them to put on their big boy pants and not piss off their fans.

Is Jack White REALLY a headliner? Is SCI REALLY a headliner?
I don;t think so… SCI was a headliner at Roth 09 because they had been on hiatus for so long it was a "big deal" for them to play a show… now they are a draw for 15k… the aren't DMB or Radiohead or Phish or even Furthur from a attendance draw or financial level.

I was there Lacey it was ridiculous. I witnessed the crap. It was nothing but teenie bopper girls in heels who really had no clue who DMB really was. And their shaggy haired (ok mines gotten pretty shaggy lately) dbag bf's. I got really sick otw back to the hotel from that show!
Pig…. we have gotten way older. And the new kids don't appreciate shit. But that's what the older folks probably think about us.

I had a dream last night that they scrapped all the headliners. I woke up happy.
Big Freedia is out so they'll have to come up with at least one replacement. Hopefully it won't be bounce. Nothing against bounce but I live in NOLA I can see that any day.

I had a good laugh reading all the posts, it is just like the forums for the festivals here in the UK.
I think this festival has a great line up, DMB, I am probably least familiar with out of all the headline acts. The RHCP are a class act, saw them twice last year, and they were on top form. I don't know why people are complaining about Jack White, he has been one of the best musicians in music in the last 12+ years, and on stage he is fantastic, and I just saw the set list for his first solo show he played, playing some White Stripe, Raconteurs and Dead Weather material, how anyone can complain about that is beyond me…must be a wanker to.
I'm glad there's bands I don't fancy seeing as it means there'll be less of a clash between bands, and means I may not have to mingle with a bunch of arseholes who wouldn't know a good band if they crawled in their ear and played a gig at 11 decibels.
Anyway, I forgot what I was going to say…I cannae fucking wait unti lthis festival oooet oooet
