I agree with the folks advocating for Beck – deeeelish live. Here are my other show interests: Alabama Shakes, Arcade Fire, Bright Light Social Hour, Brownout, David Byrne, Cat Power, Father John Misty, Fitz and the Tantrums, Iron and Wine, Metric, Miike Snow, Milo Green, Moon Taxi, Naked and Famous, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, Yeasayer. Thanks for offering fans the chance to vote for shows! Kiss

It would make my life complete if the following lineup was on the Hangout main stage for 2013: Bryan Adams, Lee Greenwood and most importantly…Kenny homeboy for life Chesney. Amuuuurica.

Definitely keep the bands that have made the festival what it is, like Rebelution and RHCP, but give some new bands a chance like Aer. Big Gigantic killed the prefest last year, and Black Keys would be great too.

I know I've already thrown out some suggestions, but I got bored and decided to add some more:

Imagine Dragons, Ryan Morris, Zach Brown Band, Flaming Lips (keep the streak up, I can watch them forever), Avett Brothers, Third Eye Blind, The Grand Magnolias, Grouplove, Marching Band, Matt and Kim, Miike Snow, Passenger, and MODEST MOUSE (please!)

Below is my band requests along with my reason for requesting them. Many of the bands are impossible, but hope is a powerful thing.
  • MUMFORD & SONS – seriously, them headlining would make the entire weekend
  • The Rolling Stones – good luck . . .
  • The Eagles – it doesn't matter what my reasons are; all that matters is that they are The Eagles. Your argument is invalid.
  • U2 – same as above
  • AC/DC – they won't be around much longer.
  • Widespread Panic – my favorite band
  • Bruce Springstein and the E. Street Band- I have to see them before it's too late.
  • Pearl Jam
  • Smashing Pumpkins
  • Bon Jovi
  • The Allman Brothers – I'm a Georgia boy.
  • Gov't Mule (or Warren Haynes) -
  • Derek Trucks
  • Tea Leaf Green
  • Black Keys
  • Alabama Shakes
  • Minnesota – had to throw some dub in there for the electronic people
  • Pretty Lights – for the same reasons as above
  • Girl Talk – GT played HGMF 2011 in the tent and it almost collapsed because of all the people . . . this time put him on a main, beach stage at night.
  • Band of Horses – because I live in Charleston.
  • Big Gigantic – were so awesome this past summer, my ears were bleeding. I've never seen someone get down on a saxophone like that guy!
  • Black Crowes
  • Adele – for my girlfriend
  • Florence and the Machines – for my girlfriend, but secretly for me.
  • Guns-n-Roses- preferably the original but if that is not possible (and it isn't) I'll take the best you can get.
