last year there was a port-o-potty station right by the front of the second stage.  This turned out to be awkward, and a Wookie Chick wouldn't let me go up to it at first, because she though I was trying to get close to the stage.  I really had to pee so I went ahead any way.  Regardless, Please don't put port-o-potties near the fronts of stages on the second stage, the main stage was fine some how.

So, A "wookie chick" stopped you from taking a leak but you powered through her with a Jedi mind trick or something and the crappers should be moved because of this malleable wookie girl?

port-o-potties were in seriously bad shape. i got to about 12 festivals a year and have to say the situation at hangout was fairly poor. there were lots of overflowing ones that were completely unusable–what i deem to be "dudes only" toilets.

ended up using the toilets with actual plumbing at the hangout restaurant but the lines for those were really long.

port-o-potties say only 10 persons per day, so they need to be cleaned by the staff a little more frequently. I know festivals have uncomfortable bathroom situations in general but i rate these to be pretty poor only because for the small size of the crowd the toilets could have been a lot cleaner.

I seriously tried my best not to eat or drink to avoid the toilets. ultra music festival had crowds way bigger than hangout and managed to keep the toilets a lot cleaner.

this might deter me from attending next year.

I have to give 'em props for putting a cover over the toilets this year.  They were still hot during the day, but an unshaded port-a-john in the Gulf Shores heat is miserable and twice as smelly…

I also saw a crew cleaning the bathrooms by the ferris wheel.  The pump truck created a terrible smell, but it's a necessary evil.  I was just thankful to be attending the festival rather than working their job.  Appreciate it though!
