ive been waiting for the schedule to come out for quite some time now and last week when it did, i was very sad to see that while on some days (like friday from 11:30 – 5:30)its all sub par bands, on sunday they've scheduled g love for the exact same time frame as the flaming lips!!! please if you have any decency in your souls, and if at all possible try to let all us fans see both of these great bands instead of having to choose between them!!!

Think of it like a TV schedule (in a way)… Friday from 11-5 isn't prime time… I can't explain the fine art of slotting, tour routing, contract negotiating, genre timing AND #1 trying to give as MANY PEOPLE ACCESS TO AS MANY BANDS AS POSSIBLE to deeply because its not my position… I can tell you that it is an unfortunate side effect of music festivals that each individual will have conflicts. To you, Flips v. G. Love and Dr. dog v. Gogol is a major conflict and I am sorry that you will have to make a decision… for others its "meh, I've seen the flips 20 times, nbd" or "Gogol bores me to tears" . Right? There is no such thing as a schedule that pleases everyone and putting the Flips on at 1PM on Friday would just be silly IMHO.
So with that said, sorry you have that conflict in the schedule. Sadly, you can;t please all of the people all of the time.
Ever tried to put 50 square pegs into 13 round holes? ;)

lol cant blame a guy for trying!;) yea ive never seen the lips or g love, but your right its very subjective..im definitly gonna have to choose the lips. thanks kang!

G Love is great but nothing in comparison to the Lips. Don't even think about it….go see the Lips. You can catch G Love at a local venue or festival sometime throughout the year I am sure.

wayne had to give us a disclaimer before the show i saw in atl because their light show and stage setup is so intense
